The our History
The first factory was born in Gravina di Catania, during the Second World War, thanks to the initiative of Zappalà Venerando. He, in 1955, opened a new plant in Mascalucia, a town in the province of Catania on the slopes of mount Etna, and passes down the complex art of milling, and the passion for the authenticity of the products first to the children and then to grandchildren.
The company, today, already at the third generation, boasts a production efficiency of 30 ton/24h.
Our distinctive character is the high standard of the finished product, obtained thanks to the accurate chemical-physical analyzes carried out in the laboratory and to the meticulous selection of the raw materials coming exclusively from Sicilian consortia and farmers.
The philosophy of Molino Zappalà is to put the needs of the customer at the center of the decision-making processes in order to establish a lasting and solid collaboration, providing a careful service of both production and distribution of the products.
We distribute our products throughout Italy to Retail Consumer, Wholesalers, Bakeries, Pizzerias, Horeca and Professionals in general.
We also carry out shipments on European territory.
To provide the customer with further confidence on the QUALITY of our meal, we have the analyser of grain INFRATEC 1241, which is a tool dedicated to the rapid analysis of grain to determine moisture, protein, gluten, specific weight and color; All of this without affecting the type of acquisition of raw materials coming EXCLUSIVELY from the SICILIAN agriculture.
