The first plant was established in Gravina di Catania during the Second World War, thanks to the initiative of Zappalà Venerando.
In 1955, he opened a new plant in Mascalucia, a town in the province of Catania on the slopes of Mount Etna, and passed down the complex art of milling and the passion for the genuineness of products first to his children and then to his grandchildren.
Today, the company, already in its third generation, boasts a production efficiency of 300 quintals/24h. Our distinctive feature is the high standard of the finished product, achieved through accurate chemical-physical analyses conducted in the laboratory and the meticulous selection of raw materials sourced exclusively from Sicilian consortia and farmers.
